created by an equestrian for the equestrian
What is Livin' Eventing? First and foremost it's a community for eventers and equestrians alike to share their ideas! The website was created by a young rider livin' her eventing dreams, with the hope of growing equestrian sport. Livin' Eventing is primarily a blog, with a a section for the site's creator Liv - Olivia Alstad Eventing.
There are other 'Eventing Lifestyle Blogs' out there but it was time one was designed with a fresh perspective! The blog is a place where anybody can contribute - just follow the directions in 'become a writer'. The blog is built on guest writers, but Liv also has her fair share of segments and pieces! Some of the content you can expect to find on the blog includes; #TrainingTuesday's, "Lorry Chat", collaborations with athletes & equestrian influencers and many fabulous guest pieces! We can help inspire one another (horse person to horse person) to put ourselves out there and start sharing the ideas in our heads to help
The goal above all else with this site is to propel the equestrian community to share their opinions and ideas with open ears and an open mind. There is plenty in store and I'm excited to take the plunge into the world of blogging with each and every one of you! This is a collaborative space with an open invitation to anybody who is interested in getting involved with Livin' Eventing to do so. Livin' Eventing will become a wonderland of equestrian related information & entertainment. I'm always open to ideas, if you have any thoughts please don't hold back and bring on 2020...
- I'm a Canadian rider who may have jumped in a little too deep when deciding to sell everything and move to the UK to pursue a dream. My favourite book growing up was 'The Lorax' by Dr. Seuss, there was one quote, in particular, that's really stuck with me in my life: "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.” This translated into my love for the sport of eventing, creating; Livin' Eventing - a project that I hope we can all build together! I value honesty, community, and teamwork - one of my goals is that these 3 things come through on every page within the site. I'm a competitive person, but I care more about my team (equine and human) than I ever will about winning. I'd like to become a part of growing our sport, and creating positive change. “It's not about what it is, it's about what it can become.” - Dr.Seuss
